Dissolve the gelatin in the water and let it sit at room temperature until transparent
Pour the fat and glucose into a saucepan and bring to a boil
Remove from heat when smooth and add the essence and glycerin
Place 3/4 of the powdered sugar in a bowl and make a hole in the center
Pour in the gelatin mixture and fold it into the powdered sugar
Add the remaining powdered sugar if necessary to achieve the desired consistency
Open the mass and cut out the stars
If desired, paint them with edible gold dust.
