Dissolve the pastry according to the manufacturer's instructions
With a rolling pin, cut it into medium-sized disks and reserve
Make the filling: combine milk with cornstarch in a saucepan
Add eggs one at a time, whisking vigorously after each addition
Include sugar and vanilla extract, whisk again, and bring to low heat

Let it cool and spread it onto the pastry disks
