Process the tangerines with 8 oz of sugar using a machine or liquidizer
Add the remaining ingredients except for sugar and mix very well
Heat the rest of the sugar over low heat with 3/4 cup of water
Mix and cook until it reaches the thread stage
Combine the previous mixture
Line tart shells with a thin layer of puff pastry
Fill with tangerine cream
Let cool
Dust with confectioner's sugar and bake in a moderate oven.
