Wash the rice and place it in a pot with cold water
Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for five minutes
Drain and reserve
Melt the butter in a large saucepan, add the rice, cardamom, cinnamon stick, and cloves
Fry until the rice is opaque
Add the milk, grapes, and almonds
Cook over low heat with the lid on for seven minutes, or until the rice is tender and all liquid has been absorbed
Remove the cinnamon stick and cloves and serve hot.
