4 ripe and firm pears, with stems
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
2 tablespoons of honey
2 tablespoons of grated ginger
1 bay leaf
4 black peppercorns
1/3 cup of white wine
1/4 cup of passionfruit juice
1 1/2 tablespoons of cornstarch
2 tablespoons of water

Peel the pears without removing the stems
Brush them with lemon juice to prevent browning
In a refrigerator, combine honey, ginger, bay leaf, black pepper, wine, and passionfruit juice
Mix well
Add the pears and microwave on high for 6 minutes, spooning with the sauce halfway through or until the pears are tender
Remove them from the microwave and set aside in another container
Dissolve cornstarch in water and combine with the passionfruit sauce
Microwave on high for an additional 2 minutes or until slightly thickened
Arrange the pears on individual plates and spoon with the sauce
Serve warm or at room temperature.
