6 firm pears

Peel the pears, reserving the core
Cut the base to even out
Boil 1 bottle of red wine with 1 1/2 cups of water (use a uncovered pot)
Season the wine with salt, clove, and cinnamon
Taste
Place the pears and cook until they're tender
Serve in a plate, with the sauce covering the surface and a sprig of thyme garnishing
