1/4 cup of butter

2 teaspoons of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
4 firm pears, peeled, cored, and sliced thinly
1 cinnamon stick

Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat
Add the brown sugar and ginger and stir until the sugar dissolves
Add the pears and cinnamon
Cook for 6 minutes or until the fruit is tender
Serve warm with whipped cream.
