1 cup of corn for popcorn

In a dedicated pot for making popcorn, combine the oil, corn, and sugar
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 10 minutes or until the sugar reaches a light caramel color
Be careful not to burn it
Cover the pot and reduce heat
Cook, stirring constantly, for an additional 5 minutes or until the kernels burst open
Remove the pot from the heat and transfer the popped corn to a bowl
Portion the popcorn into individual bags and serve immediately, in bowls.
