1 cup of milk
1/4 cup of oil
4 (sopa) cups of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
12 slices of bread (filão)
6 balls of ice cream
4 eggs
To dust
1/2 cup of sugar
3 tablespoons of cinnamon
To decorate
1 small bell pepper, cut into thin slices
1 cup of milk

Beat the eggs until frothy
Add the flour and nutmeg and beat again
Soak the bread in milk and then coat it with the egg mixture
In a skillet, heat the oil and fry, at once, four slices at a time
Remove them from the skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil
Mix the sugar and cinnamon and dust over the bread puddings
Serving two bread puddings per plate and, alongside, one ball of ice cream
Garnish with thin bell pepper slices
