Molho:

Combine the flour, spices, baking soda, and salt
Add the crystallized fruits, dried plums, nuts, and breadcrumbs
Mix the suet, brown sugar, eggs, and 1 tablespoon of brandy or rum
Add the mixture to the previous one and mix well
Pour into a greased pudding basin, about 18 cm in diameter, covered with parchment paper
Place the pudding basin inside a pot or on a foil-lined baking sheet
Add hot water to the pot without overflowing
Cook over low heat until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean
It takes about 2 hours
If necessary, add more hot water and continue cooking
Remove from the pot and invert the pudding
Aquavit: pour 1/4 cup of brandy or rum, light it on fire, and drizzle over the pudding
For the sauce: beat all the ingredients until smooth
Serve with the pudding
It serves 12 portions.
