4 cups of boiling water
2 cups of fine cornmeal
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1 tablespoon of salt

Bring the water to a boil with the salt
When it's boiling, add the butter
Add the cornmeal slowly, stirring to prevent lumps from forming
After you've added all the cornmeal, cover the pot and cook over low heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking at the bottom of the pot
Remove from heat and spread the polenta on a plate
To make polenta the size of what was photographed, you'll need to make three recipes
If you want, use half-cooked polenta.
