Wash and hull the strawberries
Place them in a punch bowl, sprinkle with sugar and add 1 cup of white wine
Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours
When serving, add the remaining wine and champagne
If desired, make the punch weaker by adding another 2 bottles of club soda.
