Heat the milk
Mix in a bowl the egg whites, cornstarch, vanilla essence, and almond extract (optional)
Gradually add the hot milk, stirring well to combine
Pour into individual molds, without greasing
Place them on a baking sheet with hot water
Bake in a moderate temperature oven (170°C) for 45-50 minutes or until, when inserting a knife, it comes out clean
Let cool and refrigerate
Serving suggestions: serve with fruit sauce or fresh raspberries or strawberries
Serve 6 to 8 portions.
