Place the sugar in a saucepan with the water and bring to a boil
Let it simmer slowly until the mixture adheres to the spoon
While this is happening, mix the egg yolks with the butter
When the sugar mixture has cooled, gradually add the egg yolk mixture, beating continuously
Pour into a greased mold, 22 cm in diameter, and bake in a slow oven for 35 minutes or until firm
The eggs can be beaten with Porto wine instead of butter
