Grease a rectangular silicone mold measuring 30.5 x 19 cm
Spread butter or margarine on the pear slices
Make a layer with 6 slices of pear, with the buttered side facing down
Place the gelatin over the pear slices
Arrange another layer of pear slices, with the buttered side facing down
Beat the milk with lemon juice, lime zest, eggs, and vanilla extract
Place the mixture over the pear
Cover and let it rest for 1 hour at room temperature or refrigerate overnight
Preheat the oven
Remove the mold from the refrigerator and place it in a larger baking dish
Moisten the surface with orange juice
Add hot water to the baking dish until it reaches halfway up the mold, and bake for about 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean
Serve warm or at room temperature
