1/2 kg of sweet potatoes
approximately 1/4 cup of milk
2 soup spoons of butter or margarine
salt and black pepper to taste

Peel the sweet potatoes
Boil about 3 cm of water (add 1/2 teaspoon of salt for each cup of water)
Add the sweet potatoes, cover the pot and let it boil
Cook until they're tender and drain
Stir the pot over low heat to dry the sweet potatoes
Mash them with a potato masher
Add the milk gradually, beating with a blender or spoon until you get a creamy and light puree
Add the butter or margarine, salt, and black pepper and mix well
Heat it up over the fire, stirring constantly
If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley for serving.
