Mix the sugar, honey, and 1/2 cup of water
Let it boil
Cook, stirring slowly, until a thick syrup forms
Remove from heat and add the chopped nuts and germ seeds
Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, stirring constantly
In a small, moistened baking dish, spread the mixture to a thickness of about 1 cm
To make your work easier, use a wet spoon in cold water
Let it cool for 10 minutes
While the mixture is still warm and pliable, cut it into squares with a sharp knife
It's easier if you frequently moisten the knife in hot water
Let the squares dry at room temperature for about 12 hours
This yields approximately 30 squares.
