1 cup of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 cup of dark brown sugar or common sugar
1/3 cup of butter or margarine
1 cup of oatmeal flakes
For the manioc filling:
1 cup of manioc from Amazonas, cut into small cubes
1/3 cup of dark brown sugar or common sugar
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1/2 cup of chopped pecans or peanuts
1 cup of wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

For the manioc filling:
1 cup of manioc from Amazonas, cut into small cubes

2 tablespoons of lemon juice
1/2 cup of chopped pecans or peanuts
Mix together the first two ingredients
Add the brown sugar or common sugar, butter or margarine, cut into small pieces, and blend with your fingers until a granulated consistency is formed
Add the oatmeal and mix well
Press half of the dough into a greased 15x27.5cm mold
Mix the manioc, sugar, lemon juice, and nuts, and spread over the dough
Dust the remaining granulated mixture over the fruit layer and press evenly with your hand
Bake in a moderate oven (170°C) for 40 minutes
Let cool in the mold
Cut into squares
