3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 cup cold butter, cut into small pieces
1/3 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 large garlic cloves
2 medium onions, finely chopped

In a bowl, combine the flours, salt, and cold butter
Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs

Add the water and mix until a dough forms

Shape into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 15 minutes

Preheat oven to medium temperature

Remove the tart pan from the refrigerator

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch

Place the dough into the tart pan, pressing it into the corners and up the sides

Roll out the remaining dough and use it to press the edges of the crust to the pan

Use a fork to prick the bottom of the crust in several places

Line the crust with parchment paper and bake for 20 minutes

Remove the parchment paper and continue baking for an additional 10 minutes, or until golden brown

Remove from oven and let cool

Keep the oven on
Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, sautΓ© the garlic in butter until softened, about 2 minutes

Add the chopped onions and cook until they are translucent

Transfer to a bowl and let cool slightly

Mix in the remaining filling ingredients

Pour the cooled filling into the baked tart crust

Bake for an additional 25 minutes, or until the filling is set

Remove from oven and let cool
Decoration
Distribute thinly sliced garlic and onion over the quiche as a garnish
They should not be consumed
Serve only to garnish.
