2 tablespoons of butter or margarine

4 cups of fresh shredded coconut
Note: allow the custard to cool before unmolding.

Make a syrup with sugar and water, until it reaches a light boil
Remove from heat and add butter or margarine, and vanilla extract
Do not stir: let the butter and vanilla extract mix on their own
Allow to cool and then whisk in the eggs and egg yolks, one at a time
Mix well
Add coconut and mix well
Grease a 22 cm round mold with butter and dust with sugar
Pour everything into the mold
Bake in a preheated oven at moderate temperature (170°C) for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
