Combine the milk and chocolate in a saucepan and bring to medium heat until the chocolate melts
In another saucepan, combine the confectioner's sugar, flour, milk, and mix well
Add the chocolate and milk mixture, whisk until smooth, and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it comes to a boil
Cook for 3 minutes without stopping, still stirring
Add about 3 tablespoons of this hot mixture to the egg yolks and beat vigorously
Immediately add the egg yolk mixture to the ingredients in the saucepan and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly
Remove from heat, add unsalted butter or margarine, vanilla extract, and whisk well
Let it cool, stirring occasionally, so that a film does not form.
