1 1/2 to 2 kg of topside
1/3 cup of pepper in grain
to taste salt
2 tablespoons of butter or margarine
2 tablespoons of olive oil

Coarsely grind the pepper in grain
Season the beef with salt and open up the pepper on all sides of the beef
Melt the butter or margarine and olive oil in a pan
Fry the beef on all sides for about 5 minutes
The longer you fry the beef, the less red it will be
(If desired, fry for more time)
Let it cool down and cut into thin slices
Arrange decoratively on a plate
