Mix the warm sweet potato with 1 tablespoon of vinegar and salt to taste
Let it cool
In a bowl, mix the remaining vinegar with the cucumber and salt
Drain through a colander for about 15 minutes
Mix the cucumber with the sweet potato, yogurt, garlic, and cumin
Refrigerate but serve at room temperature
