Combine the vegetables, seasonings, and 1 cup of broth in a pot and bring to a boil
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes
Pour the mixture into a blender
Cover and blend at high speed
Remove the cover and with the motor running add the cream and remaining broth
This soup can be served hot or cold
