Cook the sweet potatoes in chicken broth with the cheese, onion, and pepper sauce
Let it simmer
Reduce heat and cook until the sweet potatoes are tender
Strain everything through a sieve or blender
Put it back on the stovetop
Heat it up
When it's almost boiling, mix together butter and flour to get a paste, then add it slowly to the soup, stirring well
Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally
Add hot milk, salt, and black pepper to taste
Serves 6-8 people
