In a large saucepan, combine all the ingredients except for the chocolate bar and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until you reach a slightly thickened mixture (about 15 minutes)
Transfer to a large bowl and let it cool
Cover with plastic wrap and reserve in the freezer until firm (about 2 hours)
In a blender, whip the sorbet until creamy
Add the chocolate bar and mix
Cover and store in the freezer until very firm (about 4 hours)
Let it sit at room temperature to slightly thaw (about 15 minutes)
With an ice cream scoop, distribute the sorbet among eight servings and serve immediately
