As many jaboticaba as desired
Wash the jaboticaba thoroughly
Place it in a saucepan and bring to a simmer
Cover the saucepan and let it heat for a few minutes
Remove the cover and, without removing from heat, mash the jaboticaba with a wooden spoon or a pastry blender
Once well-mashed, remove from heat and strain through a sieve, mashing thoroughly to extract all juice
