Place the pineapple crust in a bowl, add salt, a spoonful of caster sugar, and vanilla
Pour the hot milk over it
Cover and let it rest for half an hour
Squeeze the pineapple between your hands, allowing the milk to drain into the bowl
Pass it through a sieve or blender
Put it back in the bowl, adding two egg yolks
Mix well
Finally, add the egg whites in snow, mixing lightly
Grease a pie dish with butter or margarine, pour in the mixture, and bake in a moderate oven for about 20 minutes
