Cut the beef into thin strips and fry it in butter with onion
Season to taste with salt, pepper, and paprika
Toast one slice of bread lightly on both sides
Place the beef on top of the toast
Melt the cheese roll with some drops of cognac in a small pan
Spread it over the beef and serve the toast hot from the oven for about 5 minutes.
