Wash the bean, remove the ends and cut into 2.5 cm pieces (at an angle)
Let it rest for 15 minutes in cold water
Fry the onion and garlic in butter or margarine until soft but not too brown
Add the drained bean
Cover and cook over low heat for 15 to 20 minutes
If necessary, add a little water
Add the seasonings
