Half kilogram of green beans

Wash the green beans
Drain and trim
Cut into small pieces
Place in a medium saucepan
Add boiling water and salt
Cook covered for 15 to 20 minutes or until tender
Drain
In a skillet, fry the bacon until crispy
Drain on paper towels
Chop and reserve
In the fat remaining from frying the bacon, sauté the onion and green pepper for about 5 minutes
Add the drained green beans with parsley and mix well
Cover the skillet and let simmer for about 5 minutes over low heat
Serve in a dish and sprinkle with crispy bacon
Serve four portions.
