2. Add 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese to the batter.

1. Add 1/2 cup chopped dates or, if preferred, some chopped nuts to the batter.
2. Add 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon to the batter.
3. Add 1 tablespoon grated orange zest and 1 tablespoon honey to the batter.

Sift the flour with salt and yeast
Beat the egg whites and combine with milk and melted butter
Add the flour and beat until smooth
Add beaten egg whites and mix carefully
Place in a hot grill
Bake for 4 waffles.
