Mix all the ingredients together and knead until you get a smooth, even dough
Let it rest, covered, for 15 minutes
Gradually roll out the dough to the thinnest possible thickness
Cut into 20cm long and 5cm wide strips with a pastry cutter
Make cuts in the middle of the strips
Fry in hot oil, drain on paper towels, and serve dusted with confectioner's sugar
Makes about 12 servings.
