Remove the core from each slice of papaya with a corer, so that the center remains circular
Place them in a bowl with a pinch of salt on top
Let them sit for five minutes, undisturbed
Take out each slice one by one; coat in all-purpose flour and fry in hot butter or margarine until golden brown
Remove from the skillet with a fork and arrange on a serving plate, still warm
A little extra salt on top, and it's ready to be served.
