Add it to a saucepan and cover it with 3 1/2 cups of cold water
Bring it to a boil, covered, and let it simmer
Reduce heat, uncover the pan, and cook until all the water is absorbed and the rice is cooked
Stir gently with a fork until the rice is dry and fluffy.
