2 cups of rice
5 cups of boiling water
2 spoons of salt
1 spoon of saffron
125 g of butter
1/2 cup of pears, peeled and chopped

Wash the rice several times, place it in a bowl with half of the boiling water
Leave it soaking for 2 hours
Rinse with cold water
Drain well
Bring the remaining water to a boil and let it simmer
Add the saffron, rice, and salt
Combine the butter, reserving 2 spoons (of soup)
Cover and cook until all the water has been absorbed
Melt the reserved butter
Toast the pears in this melted butter until they are lightly caramelized
Sprinkle over the rice.
