In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil and garlic over medium heat
Cook for 30 seconds or until the garlic starts to brown
Add the rice and cook, stirring constantly, for one minute or until it is golden brown
Add the curry powder, pepper sauce, currants, almonds, chicken broth, and salt
Bring to a boil
Reduce the heat, cover the saucepan, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and fluffy
Remove from heat and serve.
