1 can of green corn drained
1 1/2 cups milk

Sauté the onion in butter or margarine until it starts to brown
Add the corn and cook for 1 minute
Remove from heat and blend with milk in a blender
Gently beat the egg and add it to the corn mixture
Strain through a sieve, season with salt and black pepper to taste
Pour into 6 buttered ramekins
Bake in a water bath at a moderate temperature (180°C) for about 45 minutes or until firm
Serve immediately in the same ramekin
