1.5 cups of washed and drained rice
3 tablespoons of butter, generously filled
1/2 cup of macaroni for soup or two angel hair strands
3 cups of boiling water
Salt to taste

In a pot, melt 2 tablespoons of butter
Add the macaroni and let it brown
Add the rice and cook for 2 minutes
Add another tablespoon of butter and combine with the 3 cups of boiling water and season with salt
Cook over low heat until the rice is tender and the liquid has evaporated
When serving, mix the rice with a fork to release the grains.
