In a large refrigerator-safe bowl, whisk together the sugar and water
Microwave on high for 4 minutes or until it forms a syrup-like consistency
In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and coconut milk
Pour in the syrup, whisk until combined, and cook on medium heat for 2 minutes, stirring halfway through or until thickened
Distribute among six serving cups and let cool
Refrigerate for about 1 hour
Decorate with wafers and serve
