Leave the codfish in water for 24 hours, changing the water three times
Dry the codfish and grill it on a flat plate, in large pieces (brush the plate with a little bit of oil so it doesn't stick)
While grilling the codfish, cook the potatoes with their skins
After cooking the codfish, place the pieces in boiling water and let it simmer until the water boils again
Drain
Heat the olive oil in a pan and sauté the onions and garlic
Peel the potatoes, slice them into wedges, and arrange them on a platter; top with the codfish and cover with the sautéed onions
Serving hot, 8 people.
