1/2 kg of cod
4 tablespoons of butter or margarine
1/4 cup of wheat flour
2 1/2 cups of milk
4 tablespoons of green onion, chopped (white and green parts)
4 tablespoons of parsley, chopped
2 tablespoons of paprika, chopped
2 tablespoons of lemon juice
3 hard-boiled eggs, chopped

In a glass bowl, soak the cod in cold water for 24 hours, changing the water several times
Cook the cod in boiling water for about 25 minutes or until cooked through
Drain on a wire rack
Pass through cold water
Remove any bones that may have remained
Gently flake the cod
In a saucepan, melt the butter or margarine, add the wheat flour and cook over low heat, stirring for 3 minutes
Add the milk slowly, stirring vigorously
Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes
Combine the cod, green onion, parsley, paprika, lemon juice, eggs, and season to taste
Place in a serving dish and serve with white rice
Serve warm.
