Preheat the oven to moderate temperature (170°F)
In a bowl, mix together the wine, brown sugar, pomegranate jelly, melted butter, and lemon juice
Mix well
In a non-stick baking dish, arrange the banana halves in a single layer with the flat side down
Spread the wine mixture over the bananas
Bake for 30 minutes or until the bananas are very tender
Serve immediately in the same dish
