Peel the bananas and reserve

In a large skillet, melt the butter or margarine over medium heat
Add the bananas, sprinkle with lime juice, and cook, turning occasionally, until they're tender

Mix the mascarpone cheese and cinnamon, and sprinkle it over the bananas
Let it set in the heat until the cheese is melted

Pour the cognac into a confectioner's cone
Light it on fire by tilting the cone slightly, allowing the flame to lap at the edge of the liquor
Pour it flaming over the bananas

Arrange two warm bananas and one scoop of ice cream per plate.
