1 cup mixed crystalized fruits, cut into cubes (200 g)
1 cup crystalized cherries, halved (200 g)
1 cup crystalized pineapple, cut into cubes (200 g)
2 cups raisins
3/4 cup sherry or sweet wine
1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup sugar
6 tablespoons (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
2 eggs
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast

Place the crystalized fruits, raisins, and wine in a medium-sized bowl
Cover and let it soak for one day to another
Heat the oven to moderate temperature (170°F)
Grease and dust with flour a 38.6 x 23 cm baking dish
Mix all remaining ingredients in a large bowl
Beat with an electric mixer, using low speed, scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula until the mixture is smooth and well combined
Add the crystalized fruit and mix well
Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish and bake for about 30 minutes, or until, when inserting a toothpick in the center of the cake, it comes out clean
Let cool in the pan and cut into bars.
