4 tablespoons of milk

Peel the sweet potatoes, wash, dry, and slice them thinly
Mix carefully with salt, garlic, and half the cheese
Place in a refractory baking dish greased to 26.5 x 16.5 cm
Soak with milk and add enough white wine to just cover the sweet potatoes
Dust with the remaining cheese
Cover with aluminum foil
Bake in a hot oven preheated to 200°C for 40 minutes
Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 20 minutes to brown slightly
Serve as a side dish with roasted meats and picadinhos
