Preheat the oven to medium temperature
Wash the potatoes and dry them
Wrap each potato separately in buttered aluminum foil
Do the same with the garlic cloves
Place them in a baking dish and bake for 1 hour

Heat a skillet over medium heat for about 1 minute

Remove the potatoes and garlic from the oven
Cut a slit in each potato, lengthwise, and remove most of the flesh

Mash the removed flesh with a fork and combine it with butter, bacon (reserving some for garnish), and mushrooms
Mix well
Squeeze the garlic cloves with a fork and add their pulp to the mixture
Season with salt, pepper, and green onion

Stuff each potato with the seasoned mixture
Bake in the oven again at medium temperature for 15 minutes and serve.
