Dough
6 eggs
6 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
14 tablespoons of all-purpose flour sifted
Filling
1/2 pound of sweetened condensed milk
Glaze
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup of water
Dough
6 eggs
6 tablespoons of sugar
1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
14 tablespoons of all-purpose flour sifted
Filling
1/2 pound of sweetened condensed milk
Glaze
2 cups of sugar
1/2 cup of water
Place the eggs and sugar in a mixer bowl
Beat at medium speed for 15 minutes or until a soft, airy dough forms
Remove from mixer, add baking powder sifted slowly and mix gently with a spatula or whisk, moving from bottom to top
Add all-purpose flour sifted also and mix delicately the same way
Do not overmix so the dough does not drop
In a greased and floured baking dish, spoon the dough onto the surface, forming small balls about 4 centimeters in diameter
Leave space between them to prevent sticking
Bake at high heat for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown
Remove from oven and let cool
Pair the well-marrieds, two by two, with sweetened condensed milk and reserve
Glaze: Bring water to a simmer and warm it slightly
Add the two cups of sugar and mix with a spoon until dissolved
Dip the well-marrieds quickly and gradually into the glaze outside the heat, turning them gently with a fork to coat completely
Drain on the same fork alongside the pot, remove, and place on a wire rack to dry
From time to time, add warm water to the glaze to prevent it from drying out
Let the well-marrieds dry completely
Wrap them first in cellophane paper and then in crepe-colored paper
Tie delicately with string and, if desired, use individual packaging or boxes with multiple units.
