Dredge the steaks in flour, shaking off excess
Fry half of the butter in a pan until melted
Remove from heat and place on paper towels
In the same pan, melt the remaining butter and sear the steak fillets on both sides
Add the onion, beer, and remaining ingredients
Cover the pan and simmer over low heat for about 1 hour, or until the beef is tender
