Melt the chocolate with butter or margarine over low heat
Remove from heat and place in a large mixing bowl
Let cool for 2-3 minutes
Add sugar and beat well
Add eggs one at a time, beating continuously
Add flour and beat slowly, just until combined
Add peanuts and mix well
Scoop tablespoon-sized balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving about 2cm between each biscuit
Bake for 15 minutes in a moderate oven, rotating the baking sheet to ensure even cooking
Remove warm biscuits with a spatula and let cool, preferably on a wire rack.
